Volunteer as a troop leader: Guide a group of Girl Scouts by creating a fun, safe space. We’ll help you get started with easy-to-use tools and ready-made Troop Year Plans so you can focus on fun, growth, and connection.

Be a supportive adult volunteer: Help girls thrive by assisting with meetings, activities, or special events, no matter your schedule or experience.

Get involved on your terms. Choose a role that fits your time and interests—from leading a troop to lending a hand behind the scenes.

No previous experience is required to support girls as they build confidence, skills, and lifelong friendships through the Girl Scout experience. Your local Girl Scout Council can help get you started.

Whether you have time for a one-time event, just a few hours a month or much more time to share, we have a volunteer role for you! We need adults of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to serve as positive role models to our girls.

Current short-term volunteer opportunities are listed below. Check back often – we’ll have new opportunities added throughout the year!

April Showers Volunteers
April Showers is Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri's largest community service program that provides personal care items such as shampoo, toothpaste, diapers and first aid supplies to families and individuals in need. For additional information please email Abby Muir at amuir@girlscoutsem.org.

Camp Activity Volunteers
Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri is looking for skilled individuals who can assist with running activities for our girls at our three camps. Certifications are required for some camp activities. Camp Cedarledge is in Pevely, MO, Camp Tuckaho is in Troy, MO and Camp Fiddlecreek is in Labadie, MO. Committee Volunteers
The Gold Award Advisory Committee Member is a guide who helps high school girls through the process of earning their Girl Scout Gold Award. To find out how you can help a Girl Scout change the world for better, contact Annie Miller at amiller@girlscoutsem.org.

Community Troop Program Volunteers
The Community Troop Program provides urban, suburban and rural girls with the very best leadership development experience: The Girl Scout troop experience. Many of these girls would not have the opportunity to be a Girl Scout without this unique program. Dedicated staff organize and lead the troops. Volunteers are needed to assist during troop meetings.

No experience, planning or materials needed! Meetings are pre-planned with materials and snacks provided.
Get in on the action! Volunteers assist the girls in activities, lead crafts and games and aid with the check-in and check-out process.
Volunteering can fit your schedule! Meetings take place after school hours and vary depending on school districts. We have troops throughout the region, including St. Louis City, Hazelwood, University City, Ferguson/Florissant, Affton, Riverview, Normandy, Kingston and Bismarck.

Program/Event Volunteers
Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri is looking for individuals who can assist with programs and events throughout the year at our Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center and other locations throughout St. Louis and surrounding areas. Programs will include hands on activities based on our four focus areas: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), Life Skills, Outdoors, and Entrepreneurship.
