Rooted in a holistic approach, the program immerses Girl Scouts in transformative experiences that focus on social-emotional well-being, college preparedness, and career exploration.
AdvanceHER™ is more than a program—it’s a movement. One that champions every girl’s potential and fuels her persistence toward lifelong success. By investing in girls today, we are cultivating the changemakers, innovators, and leaders of tomorrow.
The historic launch of the GSEM AdvanceHER™ Leadership program will continue to grow in the next several months as additional agreements are secured. Class of 2025 graduates can take advantage of these exciting opportunities now!

- Receive a minimum $30,000 renewable scholarship upon enrollment at SLU
- Maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA or higher

- $1,000 to $2,000 annual scholarship award that is a renewable stackable award with other institutional merit aid for students with full-time enrollment

Upcoming AdvanceHER™ Programs 
AdvanceHER™ Leadership Program College Tours
Girl Scouts can jump start their college exploration and join the AdvanceHER™ team as we visit our partner institutions!
During each visit, Girl Scouts in grades 9-12 will explore campus, learn about the admission process, and receive information about our GSEM scholarship opportunities. These tours were developed especially for eastern Missouri Girl Scouts!
STLCC—Florissant Valley
March 20, 10 am-2:30 pm
Cost: $20
Registration Deadline: March 6
Tour St. Louis Community College—Florrisant Valley campus and learn about their popular degree programs plus explore their new state-of-the-art center for Advance Manufacturing and engage in hands-on learning sessions. Girl Scouts will be exposed to careers in advanced manufacturing, engineering, technology, technical trades, and more. Lunch provided.

Saint Louis University
April 18, 10 am-1:30 pm
Cost: $20
Registration Deadline: April 4
Visit Saint Louis University with Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri! We will explore campus, learn about popular degree programs, meet students and faculty, and experience Biliken pride! The first five Girl Scouts who register will be entered into a raffle to win a bundle of campus gear. Lunch provided.

STLCC—Meramec
June 5, 10 am-noon
Cost: $20

Join us at St. Louis Community College – Meramec Campus. During the visit Girl Scout's will discover Meramec’s hands-on degree programs in horticulture and creative arts, explore greenhouses full of life, and check out cutting-edge Maker Spaces with 3D printers in action! Come see what inspires you — and maybe even uncover your next career passion.

Healthcare Career Day
Developed by the Missouri Chamber Foundation, On Friday, February 27, 2026 participate in this free virtual event that will take students inside Missouri hospitals to learn about the hottest careers in health care and engage in real world learning.
St. Louis County Apprenticeship and Career Pathways Showcase
This showcase is free and open to families and students to experience a variety of careers through interactive exhibits and discussions with industry professionals from key career pathways including Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, Information Technology, Culinary & Hospitality, Healthcare and more.
This showcase will be held on the following dates:
- February 28, 10 am–1 pm at North Tech High School
- March 7, 10 am–1 pm at South Tech High School
