Highest Award Prerequisites toggle arrow

Going for your Bronze, Silver, or Gold Award means taking the lead to make the world a better place—starting right in your community. Whether you’re working with a team or leading one, you’ll build confidence and real-world skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and planning. Each award is a chance to grow as a leader, take action on what matters to you, and make a meaningful difference—at any age.

President's Volunteer Service Award toggle arrow

The President's Volunteer Service Award honors outstanding volunteers and recognizes the impact they make. Girl members can submit their volunteer hours for a 12-month period to receive the President's Volunteer Service Award.

As of May 30, 2025, submissions are on hold until further notice. We will update here when submissions are reopened.

Highest Awards at Camp toggle arrow

We are thrilled that you are interested in doing a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award project that will benefit that camp community. Once you have identified your root cause and created your project plan, the next step is to submit your details for approval.

Our internal committee meets at the end of each month to review project plans. Once reviewed, your project will either be approved as is or might need a few revisions before you get started. We want to ensure all projects meet the standards for our awards and multiple groups/girls aren't working to address the same root cause.
Once approval is given, you will be connected with a contact at camp and direction on how to schedule your visits.

Milestones Request toggle arrow

Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri recognizes girls with a certificate to document their commitment to Girl Scouting that have reached the following Milestones: Ten Year, 13 Year and Graduating Senior.

To receive a Milestone certificate for your Girl Scout, fill out the Milestones Request Form and submit to the Highest Awards Program Manager by March 1. Certificates will be distributed in June.

Training

Bronze Award Training
This course is for Girl Scout Juniors who are interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Bronze Award. Parents, caregivers and troop leaders are welcome to attend, too! This training will allow Girl Scouts to learn the steps necessary to complete their Bronze Award project and how to submit their completion.

Silver Award Training
This course is for Girl Scout Cadettes who are interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Silver Award. Parents, caregivers and troop leaders are welcome to attend, too! This training will allow Girl Scouts to learn the steps necessary to complete their Silver Award project and how to submit their completion.

Gold Award Training
This course is for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest community service award a high-school-aged girl can earn. Parents, caregivers and troop leaders are welcome to attend, too! Girl Scouts going for the Gold Award are required to attend this training; they’ll learn the seven steps necessary to complete their Gold Award project and how to submit their proposal on Go Gold.

Gold Award Drop-In Sessions

GSEM and the Gold Award Committee are here to assist Girl Scouts with the next steps to earn the Gold Award. Girl Scouts in grades 9-12 in the 2026-2027 school year and adults can join us for a Gold Award Drop-In Session, offered both in-person and virtually, as an opportunity to work on the project plan, discuss ideas, and ask questions alongside other Girl Scouts and Committee Members.
