Make a difference in the lives of youth experiencing mental health and substance use challenges by becoming a Youth Mental Health First Aider. This blended-learning course consists of a two-hour self-paced online portion and a 5.5-hour in-person skills session. The three-year certification uses a nationally recognized curriculum developed by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing to teach adults early intervention strategies to support youth aged 12-18 experiencing mental health or substance use challenges. The online portion must be completed before attending the in-person skills session. Participants will receive additional details and a link to register for and complete the online portion via email approximately one week before the in-person skills session.
