Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri (GSEM) is proud to team up with St. Louis CITY SC introducing girls to the world of soccer and sparking a lifelong love for the game. Through this new collaboration, Girl Scouts are building skills, confidence, and connections—on and off the field—through a dynamic Kickstart clinic and a memorable Girl Scout night at a St Louis CITY2 match on August 24.
On Sunday, July 20, more than 70 Girl Scouts in grades 1–5 took part in Kickstart, a fun, beginner-friendly experience designed to introduce Soccer 101 in a supportive, girl-led environment. Led by professional CITY Community Coaches, participants learned the basics of dribbling, kicking, and scoring, while also developing essential teamwork and sportsmanship skills.
“At Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, we were proud to partner with St. Louis CITY SC to create an empowering and inclusive experience where our girls felt seen, celebrated, and inspired to grow,” said Dr. Natissia Small, CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. “The soccer camp was more than just a day of play—it was a meaningful opportunity for our girls to build confidence, develop teamwork and communication skills, and experience the power of community both on and off the field.”
As part of this exciting collaboration, on Saturday, August 24 at Energizer Park, GSEM families are invited to cheer on the home team as they continue their journey toward the MLS NEXT Pro Cup. Members can enjoy discounted tickets and sit together in a special Girl Scout section—creating a high-energy, community-focused experience that’s sure to create lasting memories.
