
St. Louis, MO – September 29, 2023 – Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri (GSEM) is pleased to announce Barbara Wilson as its new Chief Financial Administrative Officer (CFAO) effective October 2, 2023.
With more than 20 years of corporate experience in finance, operations, and program management. Wilson has served as a strategic executive leader with an extensive background in contracts administration, corporate finance, fundraising, mission alignment, profitability, and risk assessments and mitigation while fostering innovative and collaborative work-environment cultures.
Wilson most recently served as Senior Finance Director with The Boeing Company, where she oversaw teams as large as 300 employees, concentrating on but not limited to, financial and competitive analysis, pricing, business intelligence and contract management. She has successfully collaborated with U.S. and foreign government agencies, including the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).

She brings a wealth of combined corporate and non-profit experience that makes her well positioned to contribute to our Council’s mission to serve more girls in the eastern Missouri region,” said Dr. Natissia Small, CEO, Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. “Her domestic and international experience along with her passion to help our girls develop into strong leaders of tomorrow makes her a tremendous addition to our team.”
As CFAO, Wilson will be a key strategic partner and collaborator, guiding the organization's financial oversight for accounting, business services, retail, property management, capital projects, risk management, contracts, and technology functions of the organization.
As a volunteer leader in the St Louis community for the past 15 years, Wilson has held several key board positions such as Treasurer of the Saint Louis Zoo, Board of Trustees for Ranken Technical College, Mercy Health Foundation Board Member, and active member roles with various committees and non-profit affiliations, such as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Women in Defense, International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association. She is also a very proud Girl Scout Alumna.

Wilson holds three master’s degrees in Science and National Resource Strategy, Computer Resources and Information Management, as well as Business Administration. She has received numerous awards and recognitions, such as the St Louis Business Journal’s Most Influential Businesswomen, Boeing Executive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Champion Award, featured as a St Louis Woman Magazine Cover and many more.
