
Ready to help your community and earn one of the highest awards in Girl Scouting? Cadettes can team up with a small group of fellow Girl Scouts or work on their own. To earn the Silver Award, you will research an issue you care about, make a plan to address it, and then take action to improve your community.
Are in sixth, seventh, or eighth grade
Are a registered Girl Scout Cadette
Have completed a Cadette Journey
Find an issue you care about
Build your team of up to 3 other Cadette Girl Scouts or decide to go solo
Explore your community to learn more about issues that interest you
Choose your project, make a plan that has a lasting impact, and submit your Project Proposal to your troop leader/adult volunteer
Put your plan into motion
Once your project is completed, submit your Final Report to your troop leader/adult volunteer
Spread the word about your project and celebrate your success!
When your award project is finished, complete your Silver Award submission here to be recognized by GSEM. Submissions received by March 1 for completed projects will be included in our annual June award celebration.
