Become a voice for animals in Animal Advocates, a program for Junior Girl Scouts! Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Humane Society, including the animal shelter and veterinary center, and discover how the organization cares for pets in need. Juniors will learn about pet overpopulation, how shelters help animals find homes, and what it means to be an advocate for animal welfare. Then, they'll take what they've learned to educate others and take action in their communities. By the end of the program, Girl Scouts will earn their Animal Habitats badge and the Take Action Award. Lunch and transportation are included. Registered adults will be supporting the program as a volunteer and are required to be a member and have an approved background check.
