This blended-learning course is for those who wish to become certified or recertified as a general first aider. The 3.5-hour online portion is found on the American Red Cross website and must be completed before attending the three-hour in-person skills session. Successful demonstration of all skills is required to obtain certification, which is valid for two years. Girl Scouts 16 years and older are welcome to participate. Scholarships are available. Participants will receive additional details and a link to register for and complete the online portion via email approximately one week before the in-person skills session.
Note: Starting in May 2026, in-person-only review sessions will be paused for two years due to updates in the American Red Cross learning materials. Participants will instead recertify by completing the blended-learning course.
