Bond as a Girl Scout Troop

Share an adventure you and your troop will never forget! Troop Camp is a great way for Girl Scouts and volunteer leaders to experience the great outdoors together and get to know one another better. Plus, if you reserve a unit during an Activity Staff Weekend, expert certified camp personnel will share their knowledge of archery, canoeing, hatchet throwing, geocaching, outdoor cooking and more. Don’t miss out on this special experience!

Learn From the Experts!

Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri is committed to providing troops with opportunities to experience all that camp has to offer.

We provide staff trained in various activities on select weekends each month to enhance the troop camping experience. These activities are offered to troops with camp unit reservations, including day shelters, on the scheduled program dates.

Six weeks before their camping reservation date, troops are sent a link from the Camp Department to sign up for activities using SignUpGenius. Troops are given three weeks to sign up for activities. Two activities will be offered each weekend, and troops can select one to participate in. Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

For the full list of activities offered and the dates and locations of each activity weekend, please see the calendar below.

Behind every fun and enriching Troop Camp experience is an adult who is well-versed in how to make the outing safe and memorable.

Adult volunteers who plan to camp with their troops on or off Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri-owned property must be Troop Camp Certified. Troop Camp certification courses ensure adult volunteers know how to plan a Troop Camping experience that everyone enjoys. All adults attending training and/or orientation must be registered members with a background check.

For questions about Troop Camp trainings, please contact Shaun Lindhoff at 314.400.4628 or slindhoff@girlscoutsem.org or visit our Training page.

Under Missouri Law (statue section 537.328), a private campground owner, or an employee or officer of a private campground owner, shall not be liable for acts or omissions related to camping at a private campground if a person is injured or killed or property is damaged as a result of an inherent risk of camping. Consult the statute section for additional details.

Service at Camp toggle arrow

Service projects and Highest Awards Projects can be incorporated into a Troop Camping experience so that Girl Scouts can make the most of their time and their passion for camping!

Highest Award Projects

Girl Scouts can now include projects at camp to earn their Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards!

Prior to working on these projects they are required to be reviewed by a committee for approval. Once Girl Scouts have identified an issue and a way to address the root cause, they can submit their idea online through the Camp Project Proposal Form.

Please contact Annie Miller, Program Manager- Highest Awards at amiller@girlscoutsem.org with any questions regarding Highest Awards projects at camp.

Service Projects

Are you camping at Camps Cedarledge, Fiddlecreek or Tuckaho with your troop and interested in completing a service project during your stay?

Service projects at camp can be incorporated into a Troop Camping weekend so Girl Scouts can explore camp's natural resources, while earning service hours. Examples of service projects at camp include brush clearing, cleaning units, trash pick-up, painting, small building projects and more.

Please fill out the Camp Service Project Form three weeks before your camping trip and the appropriate camp team member will contact you to set up your project. Please fill out separate forms for each weekend at camp.

Please understand that we will not be able to accommodate all service project requests.
