Joining Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri’s (GSEM) Young Professionals Association is an exciting opportunity for early- to mid-career professionals who want to contribute their time, talent, and treasure to the Girl Scout mission, while building professional networks and enhancing leadership skills.

Through our Young Professionals Association, you will gain valuable networking experiences and mentoring opportunities.

You will also have exclusive access and invitations to behind-the-scenes tours, previews of new programs and initiatives and recognition on GSEM website and materials.
Endless opportunities for friends- raising, ensuring you will make a difference in the lives of Girl Scouts while also having fun!
YPA will be comprised of a maximum of 40 members, all will be interviewed, and our selection process will ensure diversity of background and professions.

Eligibility Requirements toggle arrow

Commit to building girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place
Be twenty-one (21) to thirty-five (35) years of age
Have a minimum of two (2) years of full-time work or equivalent community activity experience
Join GSEM as an adult member
Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Regularly attend bi-monthly meetings
Volunteer a minimum of twice a year
Engage personal and professional networks and/or companies to support the organization at-large and Young Professionals Association specific events
Refer future YPA members
Promote and advocate for the mission of GSEM
Make a personal donation to GSEM’s Gifts for Girls Annual Campaign
Invite guests to GSEM events
Explore event sponsorship, matching gifts, or other corporate partner opportunities with your company
