This course is for those who wish to become certified as a general first aider. As a blended-learning course, there is a 3-4-hour online portion through American Red Cross that must be completed prior to attending an in-person skills session. Successful demonstration of all skills is required to obtain certification, which is valid for two years.
Course participants receive a link to register for, access, and complete the online portion of the course via email approximately one week before the in-person skills session. After registering for the online course on the American Red Cross website, you will have 90 days to complete the online course. If not completed within 90 days, any progress within the course will be lost and you will have to retake the online course. Course participants are required to provide verification of online course completion at the in-person session.
