Ways to Volunteer

Be the troop leader that supports her every week—the one that watches her smile get bigger as she grows more confident. Mentor a Girl Scout Cookie Professional during cookie season so she can earn enough to reach the goals she and her troop set. Or work with other adults to provide the kind of behind-the-scenes support that makes it possible for her to make amazing new memories at Girl Scouts.

Whether you can give a few hours, a few weeks, or a few months, volunteering with Girl Scouts is flexible and fun.

Volunteer Roles

Troop Leader/Co-Leader

Work with a group of girls and mentor them as they make new friends and develop connections that will last a lifetime.

Troop Family and Friends

Assist with driving, activity planning, snacks, money management, or other tasks necessary to keep the troop running oh-so-smoothly from week to week.

Product Program Volunteers

Coordinate the annual Cookie or Fall Product program at the troop level. Set up cookie booths, manage inventory and money, and then watch the girls light up when they earn the rewards for being the best cookie sellers and Fall product sellers ever!

Service Unit Volunteers

Support leaders and volunteers in your community to help them give the girls and girl scouts volunteers the best experience possible.

Camp/Seasonal Volunteers

Help the girls explore nature and find the fun outdoors.

Additional Ways to Volunteer

Women's Leadership Network

Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri created the Women's Leadership Network to bring women together to support each other and positively influence future women leaders—today's Girl Scouts. The Women's Leadership Network (WLN) ensures both by providing members with the opportunity to expand their personal networks, celebrate their accomplishments and mentor future leaders—all while supporting Girl Scouts.

Join the Women's Leadership Network to receive our quarterly newsletter, and stay informed about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.

Connect with other WLN members on the WLN LinkedIn group.

Young Professionals Council

The Girl Scouts Young Professionals Council (YPC) is a group of community-minded women in their 20s and 30s passionate about developing the next generation of female leaders by supporting Girl Scouts today.

The YPC meets throughout the year to attend social and networking events with our Women's Leadership Network, participate in volunteer opportunities and plan the Council's annual S'more Trivia event.

The YPC has an engagement opportunity for every interest and schedule.
