A Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri Members
Dear Girl Scout families and valued partners,
We are in unusual territory. It is important that we operate with agility and let our actions be guided by our Girl Scout Promise and Law to best serve our members.
We are extending our office/program/resource center and shop closure through Wednesday, April 22. This decision is consistent with the St. Louis County stay at home order and guidance from local health and government officials. Therefore, all Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri activities will be canceled including all programs, events, meetings, trainings and property reservations through at least April 22. We anticipate returning to normal business operations beginning, Thursday, April 23 and will resume our girl and adult programming shortly thereafter.
While our physical office location will be closed through April 22, our work of building future change-makers continues. During these uncertain times, we are still committed to providing engaging and exciting programs and activities for our more than 40,000 Girl Scouts year-round. To deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience virtually, we have launched Girl Scouting from Home, a web page dedicated to programming resources you can use as you shelter-in-place. We will continue to work closely with our members and volunteers and provide frequent content updates on our social channels:
As always, the health, safety and well-being of our members, staff and extended Girl Scout family is of paramount concern. Thank you again for your support, and please do not hesitate to contact our Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri team with any questions.
