Calling all cookies connoisseurs!

For the past 11 years, Dessert First has challenged prominent St. Louis chefs to flex their baking skills and deliver one-of-a-kind Girl Scout Cookie-inspired creations. During the cocktail hour, guests are asked to vote for their favorite desserts. Later, at the formal seated diner, attendees celebrate the extraordinary achievements and contributions of three Legacy Builders and two amazing Girl Scouts!

Know Before You Go Covid-19 Protocol

What should I know before I go?
Before you purchase your ticket, it is important to understand the health guidelines and requirements. These are subject to change at any time between now and the event. Below you will find information you need regarding all covid-19 related protocol. ALL attendees will be asked to complete a health check prior to being admitted to the event.

What is a health check?
The health check the night of the event will require you to show your ID and proof of vaccination or a negative covid test result taken within 48 hours of the event. You will also receive a contactless temperature check (must be below 100.4).

  • To be considered fully vaccinated, it must be at least 14 days after your second does of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or after 14 days since your first dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Original vaccination cards, printed copies and digital copies will be accepted.
  • For guests who cannot provide vaccination proof, a negative Covid-19 test is required. The test must be administered by a licensed healthcare professional within 48 hours of the event using either a PCR test or an antigen rapid test.

Are face masks required?
Under the Chase Park Plaza’s current guidelines, face masks are required in any public area of the hotel including event registration, lobby and restrooms. We will comply with the face mask requirements of The Chase and St. Louis City at the time of the event

Will I be refunded if I cannot attend due to Covid-19?
If you are unable to attend due to Covid-19 and would like a refund, please reach out to Preslee Coleman at pcoleman@girlscoutsem.org or (314) 592-2320 prior to the event. Your registration can be refunded or can be recognized as a 100% tax deductible gift to Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri.

Will staff and volunteers also be required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test?
All GSEM staff, volunteers and guests are required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test.

Will staff and volunteers be required to wear face masks?
GSEM Staff and volunteers will have the same guidelines for face coverings as guests.

What happens if I fail the Health Check at the event?
If you are not able to provide your ID along with proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test, or have a temperature of 100.4 or greater, we will not be allowed to give you in-person access to Dessert First.

May I send/email you my proof of vaccine or testing results prior to the event?
To make registration as easy as possible for all guests, we will not accept vaccination cards or tests prior to the event. There will be stations for your health check when you arrive.

Scholarship Awards

At this special event, we celebrate the leadership and service of outstanding Girl Scouts and award two scholarships of $5,000 to be used for higher education. Scholarship recipients must be working on, or have earned, their Gold Award, the highest recognition available to Girl Scouts.
