Go-getter

The Girl Scouts Robotics team, P3, love taking on the challenge of SeaPerch, an innovative robotics program that equips our go-getters with the resources needed to build an underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV).

Through a resident camp adventure called Camp STEM Voyager, G.I.R.L.s like Jordan, Anushka, Anna, Mira, Alexis and Gracie work in small teams to create their own SeaPerch and then ultimately guide their SeaPerch underwater through a unique obstacle course in the pool. This combination of STEM and leadership provides our eastern Missouri Girl Scouts the hands-on experience needed for success on whatever path they choose!

Innovator

Troop 3328 might have donated their innovative Girl Scout Cookie vending machine to a younger troop but they’re gearing up for the new season. Check out the video below to hear about their big plans for 2019!

Risk-taker

Eastern Missouri Girl Scouts are always pushing out of their comfort zone and trying new things! This past summer, 30 risk-takers participated in the Girl Scout Council’s inaugural first responder camp for middle school-aged girls called Catching Fury STL. Like the Resident Camp version for girls in high school, these G.I.R.L.s challenged themselves by dominating activities like extinguishing fires, learning self-defense tactics and rock-climbing. Autumn, McKenzie and Vanessa, Girl Scouts from Troop 2717, each discovered something new about themselves through this empowering experience. Autumn thinks she wants to go into law enforcement after learning techniques to protect herself and others; McKenzie has decided she’s going to become an EMT and save lives; and Vanessa believes she would be a great firefighter! They can’t wait for next summer when they return to Catching Fury STL!
