Remembering Toni Farrell, Lifetime Girl Scout and Retired Staff Member

St. Louis, MO – April 29, 2019 – It is with great sadness that Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri announces the passing of Toni Farrell, beloved retired staff member and lifetime G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader) TM. She died on Thursday, April 25, 2019.

During the more than four decades she spent serving thousands of eastern Missouri Girl Scouts, Toni played a number of roles within the organization including switchboard operator, retail associate and most recently, Office Services Manager. Toni made it her mission to know just about everything that was going on at the Girl Scout Council. Every time a new Girl Scout publication came out, she would read it cover to cover so she could answer any questions that were directed her way.

“We will all miss Toni very much,” said Bonnie Barczykowski, CEO at Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. “She was an invaluable member of our community who dedicated herself completely to the Girl Scout mission. Toni helped everyone who came in contact with her, whether it was a staff member, adult volunteer or girl. This remarkable woman lived and breathed the Girl Scout Promise and Law – we all feel fortunate to have served alongside her.”

A visitation was held at Irwin Chapel in Granite City, IL on Sunday, April 28 followed by funeral services on Monday, April 29 and burial at Calvary Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL. Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri extends condolences to Frank and her extended family.
