Beginning Friday, February 22, Girl Scouts in eastern Missouri and nationwide are participating in National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend, celebrating the impact the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program has on millions of G.I.R.L.s (Go-getters, Innovators, Risk-takers, Leaders) TM
At a time when many area Girl Scout troops are hosting cookie booths, this annual celebratory weekend is an opportunity for consumers to help facilitate amazing experiences for girls through their cookie purchases. All the net revenue from the cookie sales—100 percent of it—stays in eastern Missouri so the girls and community benefit from the mouth-watering treats.
Giving back is a huge part of being a Girl Scout and this weekend is another chance for regional G.I.R.L.s to participate in even more community engagement opportunities. On Friday, February 22 Girl Scouts are passing out cookies to military personnel traveling through Lambert-St. Louis at the USO of Missouri facility located in Terminal 1 from 4-5:30 pm. Then on Saturday, February 23, troops across eastern Missouri are visiting firehouses where they will deliver cookies and thank first responders for their service.

By purchasing cookies for donation, community supporters are ensuring the country’s brave military men and women have an iconic taste of home.
