This part isn’t breaking news — eastern Missourians have experienced a bitterly cold winter complete with lots of snow and ice. Although the weather has given more opportunities for bingeing that new Netflix show, it has prevented local area G.I.R.L.s (Go-getters, Innovators, Risk-takers, Leaders) TM from hosting Girl Scout Cookie booths across the region.
In support of the area’s more than 40,000 female entrepreneurs, Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri has extended the Girl Scout Cookie Program another week, ultimately concluding Sunday, March 17. As the largest girl-led enterprise in the country, cookie purchases have the power to generate life-changing adventures for these G.I.R.L.s while helping them build real-life skills. With more chances to connect with hungry customers, these smart cookies from eastern Missouri are going to rock the world!
With one week left of the Girl Scout Cookie Program, more than 93,000 cookie packages have been donated through the organization’s “Troop to Troop” initiative! This year, local Girl Scouts are working toward donating 100,000 cookie boxes to members of the United States armed services. By purchasing cookies for donation, community supporters are ensuring our military heroes have an iconic taste of home.
