Girl Scouts pull the midnight shift at the USO of Missouri Holiday Block Leave

Fifteen G.I.R.L.s (Go-getters, Innovators, Risk-takers, Leaders) TM are gathering at St. Louis Lambert International Airport to ensure thousands of military men and women are given nuts and candy donated by the grateful eastern Missouri community.

From Oct. 6 and ending Dec. 2, Girl Scouts participated in the Girl Scout Fall Program, a program that enables troops to fund extraordinary adventures by selling magazine subscriptions, nuts and candy. By participating in the program, #fallproductbosses are learning essential life skills but they’re also powering an important community service program called Project Thank You. Through Project Thank You, charitable customers can give a $5 donation to provide one can of nuts or candy to U.S. military men and women. These donations are ultimately distributed through the USO of Missouri.

For the second consecutive year, the top 15 Girl Scouts who received the largest number of donated nuts and candies from Project Thank You are rewarded the opportunity to participate at the upcoming USO of Missouri’s Holiday Block Leave.

Congratulations to those 15 go-getters who gave back to their community in a BIG way:
