Girl Scouts elect a new member from the St. Louis-region to join its national board of directors


St. Louis, MO – January 23, 2018 – Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) elected Mary Ann Altergott to serve as a member-at-large on the national board of the iconic Girl Scouts of the USA. Altergott was formally selected to join the 30-volunteer member National Board of GSUSA on Oct. 5th, following a vote of the delegates at the Girl Scouts' triennial National Council Session / 54th Convention, named “G.I.R.L. 2017,” which took place in Columbus, Ohio.

Mary Ann Altergott
Mary Ann Altergott is a Principal at Edward Jones responsible for aligning the firm’s business strategy to human capital activities including associate development, leadership succession and learning solutions to meet business needs. Altergott is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts of the USA and has held national strategic planning and change-readiness roles as a volunteer including a six-year term as board chair for Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. Her long-term stewardship led to many advances for the local Girl Scout Council—including expanded membership and increased community investments. Altergott was appointed to the St. Louis Community College Foundation Board, and Washington University Women’s Forum. She has been named one of the most influential women in St. Louis and frequently lectures on leadership development and human capital management.
