St. Louis, MO – June 3, 2017 – Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri and Schnucks have partnered together for a one-day, pop-up event too delicious to miss! On Saturday, June 3 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Girl Scouts will host cookie booths at 54 Schnucks locations in eastern Missouri in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts selling cookies.
“We are very excited to partner with Schnucks and commemorate this milestone—100 years of Girl Scouts selling cookies—with a special promotion,” said Bonnie Barczykowski, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. “This is another great opportunity for our girls to use the entrepreneurial and leadership skills they gain through participation in the Girl Scout Cookie program.”
Girl Scout Cookies not only help Girl Scouts earn money for fun, educational activities and community service projects, but also play a huge role in transforming girls into G.I.R.L.s (Go-getters, Innovators, Risk-takers, Leaders) as they learn essential life skills that will stay with them forever. All of the net revenue raised through the Girl Scout Cookie Program—100 percent of it— stays local.
Schnuck’s customers can help fuel these transformative experiences by making a cookie purchase this Saturday. Each booth will feature three of the classic favorites: Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs.
In addition, customers have the option of donating cookies to U.S. military members. Through the Troop to Troop Program, every purchase of a package of cookies goes to a service member through the USO of Missouri.
