The Empowerment Project

Want to learn more about your professional style? Interested in developing your brand? New practice networking and meeting new people? The Empowerment Project, Girl Scouts newest older girl opportunity, is the perfect environment for you to explore the professional world!

Girls spend the weekend experiencing collegiate life on Webster University’s beautiful campus, while bonding with adult female mentors who are trailblazers in a variety of St. Louis-area industries like STEM, fashion, marketing, business, healthcare and finance.

The weekend is packed with a variety of fun activities! Girls take in a performance of The Little Mermaid at The Muny, a trip to the Central West End complete with professional headshots with your own personal style squad at Paul Mitchell Salon, followed by lunch at a trendy restaurant. Representatives from Lululemon/Ivivva will help you learn how to set dreams and goals for the future through an inspirational seminar that encourages all girls to be their best self and find the leader within. That evening, you will further develop your personal style with experts from The Galleria, modeling in a private fashion show.

And of course, there will be plenty of time to relax and hang out in the evenings, as girls experience dorm-room living with their fellow Girl Scouts.

Weekend Topics Will Include:

  • Defining Your Brand
  • Discovering Your Personal Style
  • Developing Interpersonal Relationships
