To commemorate Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri’s 100th anniversary, we’re skipping the birthday cake and celebrating with Girl Scout Cookie-inspired confections created by prominent St. Louis-area chefs. The evening begins with a cocktail hour where guests sample and vote for their favorites. A seated dinner follows a brief program recognizing the extraordinary achievements and contributions of three Legacy Builders and two Girl Scouts.

Legacy Builders

This year at Dessert First we will add a new honor, a Community Legacy Builder, to recognize an outstanding collaborative partner. Community Legacy Builders will join our esteemed list of Individual and Corporate Legacy Builders recognized for their long-standing service and support.

Scholarship Awards

At this special event, Girl Scouts celebrates the leadership and service of outstanding Girl Scouts and awards two scholarships of $5,000 to be used for higher education. Scholarship recipients must be working on, or have earned, their Gold Award, the highest recognition available to Girl Scouts.

Awardees are selected through an application and essay process. All girls working towards earning their Gold Award are encouraged to apply for the 2018 Scholarship. Applications are due Monday, October 9, 2017.
