Bobette Balser Wilson, co-founder, Simmons’ Stable Preservation Fund
Since 2001, Bobette has been working toward her mission of saving Simmons’ Stable in Audrain County. Simmons’ Stable was built in 1887 and is the oldest, largest public wooden stable in continual use
as a horse facility in the United States. Since its inception, the Preservation Fund has realized $826,975 toward its $1,026,000 goal. |

Jacqueline Bickel Schapp, retired, community volunteer
Jackie has devoted her entire life to girl sports as physical education teacher, coach, and official. For a period of eight years (1969-1977), Jackie was the only woman in Missouri to hold simultaneous
national ratings as an official for basketball, field hockey, softball, and volleyball. She was the first female athlete to be named to the Washington University Sports Hall of Fame and most recently
Jackie won a gold medal in 2007 for the Home Run Derby at the St. Louis Senior Olympics. |

Judy Brackman, community volunteer
Judy developed and programmed the Girl Scout Cookie Sale computer program in 1995. This Windows-based program is updated regularly with components that ease all aspect of the cookie management system.
Prior to her volunteer work with Girl Scouts, Judy worked at AT&T where she became involved with computers and was trained as a computer programmer. |

Dolores J. Gunn, M.D., St. Louis County Department of Health
Dr. Gunn is the director of the Department of Health, a member of the Saint Louis Community College Board of Trustees, a primary care physician, and the mother of five. As a firm believer that education
and health are keys to eliminating poverty, she has personally gone door-to-door through some of St. Louis’ most impoverished neighborhoods in an effort to increase people’s awareness of health care options
and to educate people about the importance of immunizations. |
