Is life stressing you out? Local author Carrie Silver-Stock leads this hands-on workshop. Explore what causes stress, how it impacts you, and what to do about it. Learn about careers related to helping other scope with stress. Fulfills partial requirements for the From Stress to Success Interest Project.

Protestant Girl Scouts, start earning requirements for the “God and Church” award at this workshop. Plus, receive instructions to complete the award with your own congregation.

Want to learn a new language? How about a language where you never speak a word? Explore the world of the deaf through American Sign Language. Learn the basics of deaf culture and other ways the deaf community communicates! Fulfills partial requirement for The Lure of Language Interest Project.

Breathe…Workshop - (C/grades 6-8)

Breathing space, air pollution, eco-friendly products and actions, healthy living, and trees are all a part of the Breathe Journey. Learn how to use breathing for increased energy, to relax, study for a test or settle anxiety. Take it all in through experiments, projects and learning!

Sow What? Workshop - (S, A/grades 9-12)
April 10 from 4:30-6:30 pm @ Masterpeace Studios, Crestwood; $22

Wonder where your food comes from? Interested in making a change in your community just by changing your grocery habits? Meet with local farmers, discuss soil and organic topics, make a delicious dish and take home your own herb or vegetable plant. This workshop focuses on the Sow What? Senior Journey.

Pastry Chef Extraordinaire - (C, S, A/grades 6-12)
May 8 from 9:30 am-12:30 pm @ Girl Scout Service Center, St. Louis; $21

Develop your skills as a pastry chef! Learn cake-frosting techniques, mix your own frosting colors, and decorate your own cake. You’ll keep your supplies and earn a patch. Your cake might just make a lovely Mother’s Day gift!

Poverty Simulation - (S, A/grades 9-12)
May 1 from 9 am-noon @ Camp Tuckaho, Troy; No fee
Register through April 1 or until filled.

Put yourself in the shoes of those who live in poverty conditions. Work with other girls to form families, receive an assigned economic condition, and strive to meet your families’ needs as you face the problems inherent in poverty. This workshop is offered in collaboration with North East Community Action Corporation. Adult/girl ratio must be met. Adults bringing Girl Scouts are invited to volunteer as “vendors.” Training provided to the adults on event day.

Roundtable for Older Girl Scouts
March 3 from 6:30-8 pm @ Girl Scout Service Center, St. Louis; No fee

A roundtable is a meeting of peer who come together to discuss ideas and exchange information. This roundtable, hosted by members of the Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Task Force, is all about you, the older Girl Scout. Find out more about programs for girls in your age group, share information about what's happening in your troop and District, and ask questions.
