The TRU registration deadline has been extended to July 15.
To attend Troop Round-up 2010 (TRU), complete your troop’s Spring registration. Spring registration was created to encourage Troop Leaders and Girl Scouts to register by June 15 instead of waiting until the usual October 15 deadline. Troops registering in spring enjoy peace of mind knowing they will receive all GSEM communications in a timely manner, be entered in the council’s software system and avoid a membership lapse from one year to the next.
Troops must be registered for 2010-11 Girl Scout membership year by
June 15, 2010; and registered for Troop Round-up by
July 15, 2010.

300 TRU Volunteers needed
Thanks to the success of Spring Registration 2009, more than 3,000 girls and registered adults enjoyed Troop Round-up 2009. For Troop Round-up 2010, GSEM needs 300 volunteer workers to ensure a smooth, safe and fun-filled day! Securing this number of volunteers guarantees all volunteers have the opportunity to be relieved from their posts to enjoy much needed R & R at the VIP Tent hosted by the GSEM Alumnae Association or stroll lakeside or feast on snow cones during their summer day at Camp Tuckaho. Volunteer positions are available within several categories including Administration (volunteer check-in, parking, etc.), Food Service, Crafts/Entertainment, Games, Sports, Waterfront Activities and Camping Activities.

2010 TRU Photo Contest
We'll be holding TRU's photo contest again this year! Bring your camera to the event
and snap some great pics of your troop's participation! Last year's winning photo at right was submitted by Jane Pack and features the girls in Troop 3953 at the 2009 Troop Round-Up.
The winning 2010 photo - as was done last year - will be used in an upcoming GSEM council publication with a credit line, and the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate for use in the GS Shop. Watch this page for details on the contest and how to submit your photos through the GSEM Web site following the TRU event!
