The Girl Scout Cookie Activity not only provides an opportunity for troops to earn money, it is also an important learning experience. While participating in the cookie activity, girls will
discover what matters most to them. They will
connect with people in their communities. And they will use the power of Girl Scout cookies to
take action in their own neighborhoods and far beyond.
All revenue generated from the sale remains in our local council. Each troop earns 55 to 70 cents per box, and the remaining funds provide:
- Subsidy for Girl Scout council events and summer camp activities
- Additional financial assistance to girls in need
- Maintenance and improvements to camps and program facilities
- Volunteer recruitment, development opportunities, enrichments and materials
- Publications and mailings to our girl members and adult volunteers

Girl Scouts is the premier leadership organization for girls. The Girl Scout Cookie Activity is the largest girl-led business in the country and generates over $700 million for girls and communities nationwide.
Through the Girl Scout Cookie Activity, girls develop five essential skills:
- Goal setting
- Decision making
- Money management
- People skills
- Business ethics
