getting gsem publications

E-ALERTS ARE HERE! Sign up here if you haven't already!

Now you can sign up for e-mail alerts for when GSEM publications are posted online, general GSEM news, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: If have signed up for e-alerts and are not receiving them, there may be several reasons for this:

  • Your e-mail service has an automatic spam filter -- examples of this are systems including Earthlink, MindSpring, SprintMail and PeoplePC.  You will need to change your preferences/settings to accept e-mail from girlscoutsem.org.
  • If the e-mail address you have provided is a company e-mail, you may want to check with your employer's IT department to make sure that GSEM messages are not being sent to a spam folder.
  • Your e-mail box is full.

If you need to change the e-mail address you are receiving alerts at, simply unsubscribe (this option is included at the bottom of EVERY e-alert) and re-sign up with your new address using the form on the e-alert page.  There are two "opt-in" options -- alerts for when GSEM publications are posted online, and an option for receiving GSEM general news, survey opportunities, etc.  Remember, once you opt in, you are in.  To opt out, please check at the bottom of the GSEM e-mail that reads, "To unsubscribe, click here."

About GSEM publications and their distribution

To help keep you informed about GSEM news, program opportunities and training courses provided, the council produces and distributes several publications, each targeted to specific Girl Scout audiences:

WHAT IS ONLINE ONLY: Not all publications have been phased out of printing and mass mailing - here are the three:

  • Neighborhood Announcements – available online only*
  • Connections -- available online only - hard copies only mailed via request (see below)
  • Leader Program Bulletin -- available online only - hard copies only mailed via request (see below)

*Neighborhood Announcements was never a mailed publication, however, it is no longer mass-distributed at District/Neighborhood meetings. Please view online, or ask your District/Neighborhood Chair or GSEM Community Development Manager (CDM) for a hard copy – however, these will be available in limited quantity.

HOW TO CONTINUE GETTING A MAILED COPY OF PUBLICATIONS

To continue getting a mailed copy of Connections and/or Leader Program Bulletin:

  1. Contact Shari McCormick, 314.592.2348 with your request for one or both publications and your complete mailing information, OR

IMPORTANT TO KNOW!

Keep in mind that if you wish to continue receiving a mailed copy of either Connections or Leader Program Bulletin, you MUST indicate your request (using methods #2 or #3 above) when you renew your GSEM membership each year, or by notifying the Marketing Department NO later than August 1 of each year.
