destinations

destinations are travel experiences that run from two days to three weeks for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. Girls can travel to various locations within the country or go abroad with other Girl Scouts around the world. destinations are not troop trips, girls apply for destinations as individuals.

To learn more, girls and their families can see what travel opportunities are available to them for the 2014 and 2015 years through the following link. Please check the site often as new 2015 destinations will be added in the fall.

2014-2015 Travel Opportunities

Girls may find that they are interested in more than one destination, so girls can apply for up to four destinations each year. The host council or event sponsor will let the girls know if they have been accepted. Please see the destination timeline below for more information on when applications are due.

As girls plan to attend a destination, they will also want to explore and plan out their money earning opportunities to help support their travels. Girls can apply for one destination scholarship through the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri by completing a scholarship application by January 31, 2015. Girls can receive one destination scholarship from the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri during their Girl Scout years; however girls are encouraged and welcome to participate in appropriate money-earning activities and to apply for other destination scholarships if available through the host site. Girls can find tips on earning & saving for their trip through the following guidelines.

Money Earning Guidelines
