Camp Adventure Guide

Camp Adventure Guide

Of all the experiences a girl can have during her childhood, few offer the profound, life-changing power of camp. Whether she attends for a day, a week or even longer, Girl Scout Camp will give your daughter an opportunity to grow her self-esteem, explore the great outdoors and have fun. What are you waiting for? Get out there and camp!

The 2016 Camp Adventure Guide will help you plan your Troop, Day or Resident Camp experience! The publication features our expanded summer Equestrian Program at Camp Cedarledge, as well as information about the new climbing wall and zipline at Camp Fiddlecreek.

The publication will be online and in each registered household in mid-November. For questions about any of our camping programs, please contact Kathy Kahn at 314.592.2368.

New to Tuckaho in 2016 – Transportation Option

Join us for a new adventure as we pilot a transportation option at Camp Tuckaho, July 24 – 29, 2016!  Bus transportation to and from Camp Tuckaho will be available for girls registered in Traditional Camp July 24-29, Camp STEM Voyager, Camp Mini and Older Girl Camp Mini.

Start your camp adventure on Sunday by riding the bus with camp staff and other campers from the Girl Scout Service Center to Camp Tuckaho!  Camp staff will check girls in at the Girl Scout Service Center at 12:30 pm, review forms and provide a health check before tagging and helping campers load their luggage onto the bus. Upon arrival at camp, staff will help campers unload and transport their luggage to their assigned unit.

End your week at camp by riding the bus back to the Girl Scout Service Center with camp staff and your newly made friends.  Parents can enjoy the convenience of picking up their girls at the Girl Scout Service Center on the last day of their camper’s session, Tuesday July 26th for Camp Mini and Older Girl Camp Mini campers, or Friday, July 29 for Traditional Camp and Camp STEM Voyager campers.  Camp staff will help camper load luggage onto the bus at camp and help unload luggage from the bus at the Girl Scout Service Center.  Parents need to arrive between 5–6 pm to sign girls out,  collect luggage and depart for home.

The cost of bus transportation is $10 for each trip. Families can choose the bus transportation option that works best for them, transportation to camp on opening day, transportation home from camp on closing day, or both.
