Every girl has greatness inside her ... Girl Scouts helps her find it!

Girls choose Girl Scouts because we provide the best leadership development experience. Adults choose to volunteer for Girl Scouts because we provide the best training and support. Our communities choose to personally and financially invest in Girl Scouts because of the difference we make in the lives of our girls and the communities we serve.

Girl Scouts product programs, Fall Product and Cookies, teach girls five life skills that will serve them well for the rest of their lives:

  • Goal setting
  • Decision making
  • Money management
  • People skills
  • Business ethics

Community service is another important aspect of Girl Scouts.

Girls will participate in community service projects such as April Showers, our annual personal care item drive.

In 2013, we collected 1.2 million items worth $3 million at area Walmart stores. the Walmart collection is one aspect of April Showers, called "Showering the Community." We also collected items through door-to-door "solicitation" in 28 counties and the City of St. Louis. Girls do April Showers and place plastic bags on homes in their communities.
