Troop Round Up 2014

Troop Round Up

New This Year

In addition to free snacks such as nachos and “dirt” pudding cups, participants will have the opportunity to purchase their lunch and snacks from a variety of food trucks - Hot Aztec, 2 Girls 4 Wheels or Cool Times Ice Cream. Examples of some items available for purchase include tacos, quesadillas, chips and salsa, hot dogs, brats, pulled pork, grilled cheese and of course ice cream treats. Average price range is $1-$8.

SWAPs – In Girl Scouting, small gifts of friendship are often exchanged when girls and adults get together. We call these gifts of friendships SWAPs, which stands for:

Small size
What–cha-ma-call-it
Adorning a hat, vest or scarf
Passed between friends

OR

Small size
What-cha-ma-call-it
Affectionately
Pinned somewhere

Girls and adults can make a variety of SWAPs to exchange with “New Friends” at Troop Round Up throughout the day.

Camping

Troops have the option to camp the whole weekend. Camping at both camps is available for Girl Scout Brownie through Ambassador troops at an additional cost of $5 per person. Troops share units to maximize space.

To camp, troops must provide the following:

  • Camping Procedures or Troop Camp Certification (one adult per troop)
  • Meals for the weekend
  • Additional activities for troop at camp beyond the Troop Round Up event

Troops must follow Troop Camp Procedures and girl/adult ratio guidelines for camping on Council-owned property.
