I’ve seen the window displays on Fifth Avenue and the Magnificent Mile but never have seen a display that holds up to the likes of The Girl Scout Shop.
Every so often the window display at 2300 Ball Drive undergoes a marvelous change. Cindy Stocker and Lynne Caldwell put hours of creative labor into the displays that have a tendency to change with the season.
On the heels of the introduction of the new Journey, It’s Your Story Tell It!, the gingerbread house came down and a flurry of Discover, Connect and Take Action replaced it. It is hard not to walk by the new display without peeking your head in to see what just is going on in there. Once you make it in the door you are greeted by the likes of Cindy, Lynne, Vince and Joyce. They offer endless advice and knowledge all while talking you into purchasing those cute cookie PJs. The Girl Scout Shop staff is the best I have ever encountered and measure up to the likes of high-end retail stores. I am surprised that they don’t offer you a cookie with purchase!
So next time you are down around Page and Lindbergh stop by and see the amazing displays for yourself and I dare you not to buy that Future Girl Scout toddler t-shirt!
